Why Coy's Way Exists
Coy was 11 years old.
A son, a brother, a grandson, a nephew, and a friend. He was full of life-an athlete who loved football, baseball, basketball, and fishing. He had a heart that forgave easily, loved deeply, and showed kindness to everyone around him.
Coy was the kind of child who brought people together. He was loved by so many and had a future filled with promise.
But in a moment that changed everything, Coy became a victim of gun violence-simply being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
He fought for 7 days after being shot before he passed away.
Coy's Way to Success was created so that no other child becomes a victim ... or the one holding the gun.
This program is about healing, guidance, and giving young males the tools they need to choose a different path
The Reality Facing Our Youth

Lack of emotional support leads to poor decision-making
Too many are being led toward incarceration or worse
Without intervention, these cycles continue-and more lives are lost.
