Coy’s Place Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating pathways of hope and opportunity for at-risk male youth. Named in honor of Lloyd “Coy” McCoy Jr., who tragically lost his life at 11 years old in 2009 during a drive-by shooting, our mission is deeply rooted in transforming lives, just as we seek to honor Coy’s memory by empowering young men to break the cycles of violence, poverty, and generational incarceration.

 

At Coy’s Place, we focus on male youth ages 10-17, particularly those who have been impacted by the juvenile justice system or are at risk of falling into it. We believe that every young man deserves a chance to rewrite his future, and we are committed to providing the tools, resources, and support needed to make that possible.

 

Through our empowerment programs, life skills training, and group homes, we offer a safe, nurturing environment where young men can heal from trauma, learn essential skills, and gain the confidence to build successful, meaningful lives. Our holistic approach addresses not just the symptoms but the root causes of generational poverty and incarceration, with the goal of helping these young men transition into adulthood with a renewed sense of purpose and the skills they need to thrive.
